Track surfaces

Make sure you get in touch with our team for polyurethane track surfacing services. Fisher Tracks is proud to partner with STOCKMEIER Urethanes. We utilize STOCKMEIER polyurethane binders in all of our Fisher Tracks’ systems. We also install STOCKMEIER Urethanes’ World Athletics approved Stobitan® systems. Please see the information below to learn more about the systems Fisher Tracks installs. Please note, the Fisher Tracks’ running track systems equate to the Sotibtan® running track systems in corresponding order. Example: The FT Poly Mat 5k corresponds with the Stobitan®Base and so on. Finally, the FT 25k will correspond with the Stobitan® Full Pour.

Key Benefits of Polyurethane Track Surfacing

Polyurethane track surfacing offers unmatched durability, safety, and performance for athletes at every level. Designed to withstand heavy use and diverse weather conditions, these surfaces provide consistent traction, shock absorption, and longevity. Choosing polyurethane means investing in a reliable, professional-grade track that supports both training and competition year after year.

  • Engineered shock absorption: Polyurethane systems can be tuned for force reduction, helping reduce repetitive stress on joints and supporting higher training volumes across seasons.
  • Predictable traction in varied conditions: Textured wear layers are designed to maintain grip through temperature swings and light moisture, promoting confident foot placement and clean acceleration.
  • Uniformity from start to finish: Machine-controlled mixing and application create consistent thickness and rebound across lanes, curves, and transitions for fair training and competition.
  • Multilayer longevity: Layered construction isolates wear to the top course, allowing targeted refreshes of the surface without rebuilding the underlying structure.
  • Efficient maintenance pathways: Routine cleaning and occasional spot repairs restore performance quickly, minimizing downtime and preserving your event calendar.
  • Staged upgrade options: Facilities can begin with an entry configuration and add performance layers later, aligning improvements with budget cycles and program growth.
  • Cure-to-competition reliability: Professional application and controlled curing deliver stable mechanical properties, so the surface performs as specified on opening day and beyond.
  • Precision line retention: Smooth, resilient top courses hold markings crisply, supporting accurate timing, zone visibility, and efficient meet operations.
  • Edge and interface integrity: Seamless transitions at run-offs, event aprons, and access points reduce trip hazards and help equipment move safely on and off the oval.
  • Climate adaptability: Formulations and build-ups can be selected to match local temperatures and weather patterns, supporting long service life in a wide range of environments.
  • Consistent athlete feel: Balanced rebound and foot strike feedback assist with rhythm on straights and through curves, aiding sprinters, hurdlers, and distance runners alike.
  • Wheelchair suitability: Smooth, continuous surfaces facilitate reliable traction and roll for wheelchair racing and para-athletics events.
  • Operational resilience: Polyurethane track surfacing is designed to tolerate daily training loads, event spikes in traffic, and routine equipment setups without rapid performance drift.
  • Lifecycle cost control: Durable construction and planned resurfacing intervals extend replacement timelines, helping administrators forecast capital needs with fewer surprises.
  • Clean aesthetics over time: Wear-layer texture and finish resist scuffing and chalking, supporting a professional appearance for recruiting, broadcasts, and community events.
  • Noise dampening qualities: Elastic systems help reduce harsh impact sounds, contributing to a more comfortable environment around the facility.
  • Customization of feel: Track committees can select profiles that emphasize speed response or training comfort, aligning the surface with program priorities.
  • Reliable project integration: Polyurethane tracks interface well with common base constructions and drainage strategies, streamlining coordination with civil, field, and site scopes.
  • Sustainable life-extension practices: Periodic retexture and top-coat refreshes keep material use focused on the wear surface rather than full reconstruction.
  • Year-round usability: Rapid drying characteristics after routine cleaning or light precipitation help keep lanes available more days of the year.

Selecting polyurethane surfacing equips your program with a dependable, high-performance platform—one that supports athletes today and offers clear, manageable pathways to maintain that performance for years to come.
